Rocky Chrastil and Jon Steinberg have over 30 years of rewarding experience working together on behalf of our clients. We pride ourselves on obtaining the best results for our clients and adhering to the highest professional and ethical standards.

Attorney Rockford R. (Rocky) Chrastil has been practicing law for more than 30 years, beginning at a labor law firm in Chicago where he practiced for three years while his wife completed her graduate degree at Northwestern University. During his tenure in Chicago, he represented the City of Chicago Police and Fire Departments, the Chicago Transit Authority and Continental Baking Company (Hostess and Wonder Bread), successfully handling numerous grievance arbitration and litigation cases.

Since moving to Minneapolis in 1983 and establishing the law firm of Chrastil and Steinberg, P.L.L.P., with his good friend and former football teammate Jon Steinberg, Rocky has dedicated his labor and employment law practice primarily to representing unions and employees. He has also expanded his practice to include personal injury and general litigation matters. He routinely represents employees and injured people in all types of litigation, including trials, arbitrations, mediations, administrative hearings and appeals in those areas. Focused on effectively litigating to protect the best interests of our clients, Rocky has a reputation for professional, high-quality representation. He is a member of the Minnesota Association for Justice (formerly the Minnesota Trial Lawyers Association) and the National Employment Lawyers Association.

Rocky lives in Minneapolis with his wife and has three adult kids. He enjoys traveling, woodworking and playing golf and tennis. Over the years, he has volunteered his time to coaching youth sports, serving on the Boards of several non-profit organizations, and participating in the Federal Bar Association's Pro Bono Project.

Attorney Jonathan G. Steinberg for more than 30 years has forcefully and effectively represented clients in state and federal trial and appellate courts. Jon routinely represents individuals with regard to virtually all employment- related matters, including civil and administrative proceedings. Jon also has pursued his interest in juvenile justice and has been chosen to represent guardians for children in Hennepin County District Court for over 20 years. He was appointed by the Minnesota Chief Justice to serve as a member of the Minnesota Child Protection Rules Committee and currently is the Minnesota State Bar Association representative to the Minnesota State Juvenile Delinquency Rules Committee. Until 2012, he volunteered as an attorney member of the Fourth Judicial District attorney ethics committee.

Jon and his wife reside in south Minneapolis where they raised their three (now adult) children. He enjoys playing golf and tennis - and fly fishing with his hand-tied flies.
